Tackle-A-Thon!
SEPTEMBER 16 / SEPTEMBER 30
Join us for the first annual Tackle-A-Thon fundraiser!
The funds from the tackle-a-thon will go to club expenses and the Daniel Piotrowicz “DP” fund which awards scholarships to new players in our club. We will have a triple header with our women’s D2, men’s D3 and D4 teams.
We will have a double header with our women’s D2, men’s D3 teams on September 16. Followed up by an opportunity to support our men’s d4 side on September 30.
HOW IT WORKS
- Select a player and pledge an amount for each tackle, try, or conversion that the player makes during the game.
- Suggested pledge amounts are $1-5 per tackle or $10-20 per try or kick.
- Don’t have a player to support, but still want to participate? Enter “surprise me” for the player name and we will assign you a player!
- During the match we will count the tackles, tries, and kicks made by each player. You do NOT need to attend the game, but we love having fan support and it will be a fun day of rugby so come down, check it out, and cheer on your tackler of choice!
- After the game, we will inform you how many tackles/tries/kicks were made by your player. Then you send the amount you pledged via Venmo, Paypal, cash, or check.
- In addition to sponsoring a player, we will be having a raffle for a basket of SBRFC Gear! You get 1 entry for every dollar you pledge. You can buy additional entries for $1/each.
- EXAMPLE: If you pledge $5 per tackle for your player, and they make 10 tackles, you contribute $50. You are also given 50 entries into the a swag bag of South Buffalo Rugby gear.
